We offer accommodation in 6 of the former retreat cabins set amongst the Kanuka, Manuka and Beech trees, ferns and other native flora – each with privacy and outdoor seating areas from which to enjoy sweeping views of the Bay.

The cabins are all unique designs and of wood construction – the interiors are fitted out with minimal fuss as we are all about the outdoors – though do include creature comforts like a mini fridge to ensure comfort for your stay.

Each cabin takes their Te Reo (Maori) name from local native wildlife:

  • Mamaku : Black tree fern

  • Kanuka :  White tea-tree

  • Tauhou : Silver-Eye or Wax-Eye bird

  • Pi Honi : Honey Bee

  • Torea : Oystercatcher

  • Weka : Wood Hen

Mamaku and Kanuka Cabins are located near each other and have ensuites , whilst Tauhou, PiHoni, Torea and Weka are all set apart and utilise the communal Shower and Toilet facilities, as well as access to our world famous composting  ‘Loo with a View’

All cabins are a short skip through the bush to our  stunning communal Al Fresco kitchen which has everything you need to prepare and enjoy your hot drinks, aperitifs and meals.
